About
About Skoto
Skoto is a culture-first brand built around after-dark discipline, speed, pressure, and identity.
It started in the overlap between Vermont ski culture and motorcycle culture and grew into something darker, sharper, and built for real-world motion.
What does Skoto mean?
Skoto means “darkness” in Ancient Greek.
The name was built around the after-dark grind: discipline, speed, pressure, obsession, and progress when nobody is watching.
That is the core of the brand and the reason it was never meant to feel soft, random, or trend-driven.
Own the Darkness. Become the Light.
Own the Darkness is what gets built in pressure, discipline, and unseen work.
It is the stage where you are shaped in silence. Where identity forms. Where growth starts before anybody sees it.
Become the Light is what follows: the presence, the clarity, and the identity you built in the dark starting to speak for itself.
How Skoto started
Skoto started in Burlington, Vermont, where ski culture and motorcycle culture naturally crossed over.
What began in that seasonal switch grew into something broader: a culture-first brand built around after-dark discipline, speed, pressure, identity, and real scene participation.
The lane changed. The DNA didn’t.
Origin
From the start
No warehouse. No polished setup. Just obsession, pressure, and the first real steps of building Skoto into something bigger.
What is AUXESIS?
AUXESIS is the current Skoto chapter.
It means growth under pressure: what gets built in the dark before visible in the light.
The design language pulls from roots, spine, and wing-like ascent to represent something rooted below, shaped under pressure, then rising into view.
Rooted below. Built through pressure. Made to rise.
How do I get involved?
Be part of the culture.
Tag Skoto in fits, rides, night drives, meets, and real-world content. Show up outside. Tap into the scene. Build with the people actually living it.
The best way in is to be active.
